For the Metro brief I was to create a transport advertising poster campaign and strap line that cuts through the visual noise of the everyday commute to promote Metro newspapers.
My idea was based around shoes. I chose the idea of shoes because shoes are
something that are used everyday for an 'Urbanite'. I thought about choosing the smart work shoe but to also keep it cool and trendy. It also came across my mind that it would be a good idea to turn the shoes in to characters so that the posters would look funky to the 'Urbanites'. The shoe with the 'Gherkin' heel is
meant to symbolise the cities in which the Metro papers that are read across the cities of England. With the shoe car it symbolises the transport in which Urbanites use to to work everyday. The message is something that the Urbanite would most probably stare whist on there public transport. It creates different messages, and along the bottom next to the read "The Urbanites Paper", which makes the paper exclusive to the Urbanite.
